The International Thermoelectric Society (ITS) and the European Thermoelectric Society (ETS) are soliciting organizations from the European region interested in hosting its 37th Annual International Conference on Thermoelectrics (ICT 2018) as well as the annual 16th European Conference on Thermoelectrics (ECT 2018) as a joint conference in the year 2018.
Abstract Submission Deadline for ICT/ACT 2016 Extended
Due to multiple requests, we are pleased to announce that the deadline for abstract submission for ICT/ACT 2016 has been extended for an extra 10 days until March 25, 2016.

Formation of the Asian Association of Thermoelectrics (AAT)
The formation of the Asian Association of Thermoelectrics (AAT) was deemed necessary for the following reasons. Considering the recent strong and increasing activities in thermoelectrics research in Asian countries, and to create such an association in order to increase communication and cooperation among these geographically close Asian countries, also to nurture the young Asian scientists, and achieve strong advances in the field of thermoelectrics.
You are cordially invited to attend The 35th International Conference and the 1st Asian Conference on Thermoelectrics (ICT/ACT 2016) to be held May 29- June 2, 2016 in Wuhan, China. ICT is the leading annual meeting in the field of thermoelectrics. Over 700 experts from academia, industry, government laboratories, and research institutions are invited to discuss the state-of-the-art of the technology, advances in the science of thermoelectricity, latest work in materials research and device design, and opportunities for commercialization.
Since ICT 2008, ICT proceedings have been published as special issues of the Journal of Electronic Materials (JEM). Thus papers presented in the Conference can be published in a volume of Journal of Electronic Materials (please note that a standard peer review process will take place, with no guarantee of acceptance).

With the close of ICT 2015, the ITS bids adieu to Dresden, Germany. A huge thank you goes out to ICT 2015 conference chair Dr. Yuri Grin, Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, and his team for an outstanding job hosting what was one of the biggest conferences on thermoelectrics ever.
We look forward to next year, when the ITS will meet in Wuhan, China for ICT 2016 on May 29 - June 2, 2016. The conference will be chaired by Dr. Xinfeng Tang, Wuhan Unviersity of Technology. Stay tunded for more details and a conference website.
The ITS Board of Directors has accepted a bid from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to host ICT 2017. The conference will take place at a location to be determined in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Sabah Bux of JPL will serve as the conference chair.
The terms of the following individuals as ITS Board members ended at the ICT in Dresden: Thierry Caillat (USA), Takao Mori (Japan), Ctirad Uher (USA), Hsin Wang (USA), Jihui Yang (USA). The following individuals were elected (or re-elected) to the Board to begin a three year term: Silke Buhler-Paschen (Austria), Takao Mori (Japan), and Jihui Yang (USA). Sabah Bux (USA), as conference chair of ICT 2017, has also been added to the Board.
Additionally, the ITS board has appointed Franck Gascoin (France) as secretary and Sabah Bux (USA) as treasurer.
Four International Thermoelectric Society (ITS) Board Director positions will be opened for election at the 34th International Conference on Thermoelectrics, to be held in Dresden, Germany, June 28th-July 2th, 2015.
The Committee has made every effort to attract candidates from a variety of geographic, technical fields, and institutions, to best serve the Mission of the International Thermoelectric Society. The list of current Board Directors can be found here.
