Summer Fellowship Award of the International Thermoelectric Society
(ITS Summer Fellowship)
The ITS Summer Fellowship Award was initiated in 2016 to assist a graduate student in the pursuit of research during the summer (May – August) in a field of interest to the ITS and provides financial support for the summer months of study at an institution different from the awardee’s home institution.

To assist a graduate student in the pursuit of research during the summer (May – August) in a field of interest to the ITS.
TheAward
The award shall be known as the ITS Fellowship and will consist of funds in the amount of US $5,000 for the summer months of study at an institution different from the awardee’s home institution.
The ITS Board of Directors announces that Fanchen Meng, Clemson University, has been selected as the winner of the 2018 ITS Summer Fellowship. Fanchen will spend the summer doing research at Shenzhen University with support from this fellowship. The award is sponsored by the ITS and will be presented at the conference banquet of the 2018 International Conference on Thermoelectrics in Caen, France on July 4.

Purpose
To assist a graduate student in the pursuit of research during the summer (May – August) in a field of interest to the ITS.
The Award
The award shall be known as the ITS Fellowship and will consist of a check for $5,000 for the summer months of study at an institution different from the awardee’s home institution.
Stefan Maier, University of Caen, France, has been selected as the recipient of the first ITS Summer Fellowship. The fellowship provides financial support to perform research during the summer months at another institution. Stefan plans to carry out his work at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA.
