Promoting thermoelectric technology to mitigate global climate change
We would like to announce that, in addition to US and EU branches of VCT, an Asian branch was also established and welcomes the nominations for talks by Asian students and postdocs. The Asian committee members for Japan, China, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia are listed in the VCT web page
In light of the cancellation of spring / summer conferences due to Covid-19, we are planning to host a Virtual Thermoelectric Conference (VCT2020) to allow members of the thermoelectric community to share their most recent research. The meeting will be held online from July 21st - 23rd 2020 using the Zoom platform.
The International Thermoelectric Society (ITS) and the organizers of the International Conference on Thermoelectrics 2020 (ICT 2020) have made the difficult decision to cancel ICT 2020 scheduled for June 28 to July 2, 2020, in Seattle, WA, USA.
To assist a graduate student in the pursuit of research during the summer (May – August) in a field of interest to the ITS.
TheAward
The award shall be known as the ITS Fellowship and will consist of funds in the amount of US $5,000 for the summer months of study at an institution different from the awardee’s home institution.
The International Thermoelectric Society (ITS) announces the 2020 ITS Outstanding Achievement in Thermoelectrics Award to recognize outstanding achievement in scholarship and service to the thermoelectric community. The award carries a cash prize of two thousand US dollars ($2000), honorary membership in the ITS, and a Descriptive Certificate that will be presented at the 39th International Conference on Thermoelectrics (ICT 2020), in Seattle, Washington, USA June 28- July 2, 2020.
