Promoting thermoelectric technology to mitigate global climate change
The ITS Board of Directors announces that Fanchen Meng, Clemson University, has been selected as the winner of the 2018 ITS Summer Fellowship. Fanchen will spend the summer doing research at Shenzhen University with support from this fellowship. The award is sponsored by the ITS and will be presented at the conference banquet of the 2018 International Conference on Thermoelectrics in Caen, France on July 4.
The ITS Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Gangjian Tan (Kanatzidis group, Northwestern University) and Guodong Li (Snyder group, Northwestern University) have been selected as co-winners of the 2018 Postdoctoral Scholar in Thermoelectrics Award. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in scholarship in the field of thermoelectricity and is sponsored by ITS.
The winners will be honored at the conference banquet of the 2018 International Conference on Thermoelectrics in Caen, France on July 4.
The ITS Board of Directors announces that Professor Kunihito Koumoto, Nagoya University, Japan, has been selected as the recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Achievement in Thermoelectrics Award. The award recognizes outstanding scholarship in and service to the thermoelectric community. The award is co-sponsored by ITS and KELK Ltd and supported by the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids.
The ITS Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Kunpeng Zhao, Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, China, is the winner of the 2018 Goldsmid Award for excellence in research in thermoelectricity by a graduate student. The award is co-sponsored by ITS and Marlow Industries.
The Board also announces two winners of the Graduate Student Awards: Qihao Zhang (Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, China) and Siqi Lin (Tongji University, China). The awards are sponsored by ITS.
