Conditions:

Full time contract (up to 3 years, 1+2)

Position starts on:  March 1^st 2018

Gross salary: 9000 to 12000 PLN (approx. 2150-2850 EUR) per month

 Description of the project

Project is carried out within the TEAM-TECH program of the Foundation for Polish Science. The aim of the project is the development of new composite thermoelectric materials and prototypical highly-efficient thermoelectric modules.

Research partners in the project: Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids (Dresden, Germany), Institute of Pulsed Power Science of Kumamoto University (Kumamoto, Japan), Department of Physics of Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore, India).

 Profile of candidate

1. PhD in Physics,  Chemistry or Materials science (PhD received no earlier than January 1^st 2013)
2. Experience in preparation of intermetallic compounds     
3. The ability of independent problem solving
4. The ability to work in a team
5. Very good English skills

Tasks

1. Synthesis of thermoelectric materials
2. Characterization of structural and transport properties
3. Research on correlation between electronic and transport properties
4. Construction of prototypical thermoelectric modules
