Dr. Gerald Mahan to be honored with 2015 ITS Outstanding Achievement Award

The International Thermoelectric Society is pleased to announce that Dr. Gerald Mahan, Pennsylvania State University, USA, has been selected as the recipient of the fifth ITS Outstanding Achievement Award, co-sponsored by Komatsu and supported by the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids. Dr. Mahan has made seminal contributions to the theoretical understanding of electronic and thermal transport in thermoelectric materials.   His numerous journal articles, conference proceedings papers, and books and book chapters have served as continuing inspiration for generations of researchers working in the field.  Dr. Mahan continues to actively work on thermoelectrics and will present a plenary lecture at ICT 2015 in Dresden, Germany.
