The International Thermoelectric Society (ITS) Conference Travel Grant is intended to assist graduate students to participate at the annual International Conference on Thermoelectrics (ICT). As part of our commitment to advancing research and training, the ITS will provides funding for 8 awards to graduate students. Each award will carry a cash prize of US $500.
Eligibility
Graduate students are eligible to apply for an ITS Conference Travel Grant if:
· The graduate student is in good academic standing in a degree granting program.
· The student has been accepted to present a poster or paper at the ICT.
Deadline
May 15, 2013
Award Description
A student is eligible to receive one travel grant award during his/her graduate studies.
Application Procedure
Students should submit the following to the Committee Chair Prof. Jihui Yang (jihuiy@uw.edu):
· Recommendation from the faculty advisor as to how the conference participation is directly relevant to the student’s research or graduate studies.
· Copy of the confirmation of presentation (letter or e-mail is acceptable) with the applicant’s name clearly listed as the presenter to verify the student’s acceptance to participate in the ICT.
Selection Process and Notification
Applications will be screened and judged by a three-member committee of the ITS Board Members. Successful applicants will be notified by June 1, 2013.
