Manuscripts accepted for publication in the ICT2013 Proceedings will appear in a special issue of the Journal of Electronic Materials (JEM). JEM submission guidelines should be followed.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO AUTHORS:
Manuscripts for the special issue of Journal of Electronic Materials for the ICT 2013 proceedings will be evaluated according to the same high standards for original research as an article in a regular issue of the journal. Authors are encouraged to read carefully and comply with the "Instructions for Authors" on the JEMS website. In particular, we wish to emphasize that submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Abstracts, which have been accepted and, for whichever reason, subsequently withdrawn by the author(s), are not eligible for the proceedings. This also applies to abstracts for posters and orals, which are not presented by at least one of the authors at the conference (i.e. no-shows).
Please submit your paper formatted in one column, double spaced. This is important for the further processing steps.
Contrary to the guidelines, abstracts can have up to 200 words, if desired (this is the only exception we are allowed).
There has been some confusion about the page limit, which we would like to clarify:
JEM has no limitations on the number of pages for their regularly published papers, and their submission system has no way of enforcing a limit for this special issue. Thus, there is no page limit for the ICT2013 special issue. Limiting your submission to 4 typeset pages (not 4 double spaced pages as submitted) is a traditional recommendation from the ITS to keep the proceedings at a reasonable size, before they were publised by JEM. According to JEM, there is no sure way for them to tell how many pages a paper will have until the final typeset (due to the different number of figures, their size, formulas, etc.). Therefore we can only encourage you to use your own best judgment when writing your paper. Otherwise, when in doubt, follow the guidelines.
Deadlines for Manuscripts:
- Mandatory deadline for manuscripts: July 11, 2013. Manuscripts submitted after this date will not be accepted.
- Deadline for consideration for best paper awards: May, 31, 2013.
