The 14^th European Conference on Thermoelectrics will be held at the Congress Center of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) Alameda Campus, located at the Civil Engineering Pavilion, from Tuesday to Friday, September 20-23, 2016.

• LISBON ARRIVAL/TRANSPORT

Lisbon is easily reached by direct flights from most capitals in Europe and from other cities, like New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington and Toronto. A protocol cooperation with the Portuguese Airline Company TAP has been signed. With this, participants can have a discount in their flight tickets up to 20%. More details can be found here.

Lisbon Airport is located 7km from the city centre. One of the options one has of accessing their hotel from the airport is the use of a Lisbon airport taxi. This is quite a fast option of getting to the city center. Taxis are available outside the arrival and departure areas. For one to get to the city centre from the airport the charge averages €10.

The Lisbon Subway works with a rechargeable Card that can be purchased at every Subway Station(Metro Station): The card costs 0.5 Euro and each ride 1.25 Euro. You can also buy a 24h ticket for 5 Euro.
