INTERPLAN, in charge of congress management, has booked a huge number of rooms for the conference delegates for special rates in several hotels in the city center, all located in walking distance to the congress venue. To benefit from these rates, please fill in the accommodation section within the registration form and send it together with your registration to INTERPLAN. Please find some suggestions for low-priced accommodation below. Bookings in these hostels cannot be done within the registration form but must be arranged with the hostels directly.

Hotel Descriptions ICT-ECT

No. 1: Novotel Freiburg am Konzerthaus

The Novotel Freiburg Am Konzerthaus is located in the historical center of Freiburg. This 4 star hotel offers 219 rooms, a terrace, eight meeting rooms, a restaurant, a bar and direct access to the Konzerthaus convention centre. There is also a swimming pool, sauna and beauty treatments.

The rooms offer radio, satellite/cable color TV, audible smoke alarms and mini bar.  Guests appreciate the central location, opposite the ICE train station, 60 km from Basel International Airport with an easy connection to the A5.

No. 2: Hotel Rheingold

The 4-star Hotel Rheingold is centrally and calm located in 2 minutes walking distance from Central station, within 5 minutes walking distance to the theatre and the Freiburg Cathedral as well as within 5 minutes walking distance to the conference venue.

All rooms offer TV and internet- connections, besides the whole hotel offers W-LAN connections. Most of the rooms are also equipped with an air conditioning.

In the morning you can enjoy exquisite breakfast buffet includings sarklingwine, marinated salmon, scrambled eggs with shrimps and various specialities. The hotel offers a restaurant and a bar. 

No. 3: Designhotel Am Stadtgarten

The Designhotel Am Stadtgarten, opened May 2007, is located in the city centre of Freiburg, close to nature but in the middle of the city. In two walking-minutes you reach the pedestrian zone or the tram station.

The hotel offers 35 premium equipped Business rooms with shower, flat screen TV, W-LAN internet access and a rich breakfast buffet.

The Café-Bar-Lounge “Vis a Vis” serves snacks, coffee, cake and cocktails.

No. 3: Designhotel Am Stadtgarten - guesthouse

Compared to the Designhotel Am Stadtgarten the “Gästehaus/guesthouse” offers 35 additional well-kept rooms. The rooms have been partly renovated in 2008 and are equipped with shower, hairdryer, TV and telephone. Some rooms also offer a balcony.

No. 4: Hotel Central

The hotel Central with a personal atmosphere is located in the heart of the city of Freiburg, at the foot of the Black Forest, one minute to the Freiburger Münster and the pedestrian zone, and 10 minutes to the conference venue.

The hotel offers 49 modern rooms equipped with mini bar, writing table, flat screen-TV, salon table with chairs as well as telephone and W-LAN. The decorated bathrooms are equipped with shower, hairdryer and care accessory. A car park is available.

No. 5: Hotel Victoria Best Western

The Best Western Premier Hotel Victoria is situated near the conference venue, just 200 meters from the main station and 300 meters from the Freiburger Münster Cathedral and is opposite the Colombi Park. This environmental friendly, historical hotel is furnished with care and offers visitors modern ambience, quiet rooms and a non-smoking floor.

The 63 rooms are equipped with cable satellite television, desk/work area, in-room safe and mini bar. The hotel offers in all areas internet access (WLAN), free tickets for the public transportation and free entrance in the sauna with pool next to the hotel.

No. 6: Park Hotel Post

The Park Hotel Post is located in the centre of Freiburg, 200m to the central station. In a 5 minute walk you can reach the conference venue.

The hotel offers 45 rooms equipped with Bath/shower, WC, hairdryer, TV, mini bar, direct dial telephone and W-LAN access. Some rooms have a balcony with a delightful view over the Colombi Park and the Cathedral - the Münster. A car park is available.

No.7: InterCity Hotel

The modern business-class hotel InterCity is in a central downtown location and very close to the conference venue, right by the main station.

The hotel offers a valet service, free newspapers, W-LAN throughout the building, a cycle hire as well as a restaurant and a bar. 

With your room ID card you can use the local public transport within Freiburg free of charge.  The 152 rooms are equipped with mini bar, telephone with voicemail, SAT/pay TV, desk as well as a fax and modem link. The hotel also offers a special floor for non smokers and special rooms for the disabled. A public garage is available.

No.8: Hotel am Rathaus

The Hotel am Rathaus is located in the city centre of Freiburg, 300 m away from the Konzerthaus convention centre as well as from the central station. All guests are given the service guarantee of non-smoker rooms and breakfast can also be enjoyed without fumes.

The hotel offers W-LAN throughout the entire building, business software, Internet connection - including surfing, hire mobiles or chargers and ticket service for culture and events, art and artists. All 39 rooms are equipped with mini library, CD/DVD player, radio and audio books as well as TV, mini bar, telephone and writing desk.
