The General Session of the International Academy of Refrigeration was held in St.Petersburg on April 15-16, 1997. The Session established a new 17-th section of the International Academy of Refrigeration - the Section of Thermoelectric
Cooling and Materials

It was elected the follows Collective (Corporate) Members in our Section:

1. Joint Stock Company CRYOTHERM, St.Petersburg. The Company was formed in 1992 based an enterprise which has been making thermoelectric modules for aerospace industry as a result of implementation of the Russian Government privatization program. At present the CRYOTHERM manufacture 170,000 modules annually. Technical parameters of the CRYOTHERM products can meet highest world standards.

2. Joint Stock Company ECOHOL, Moscow. The Company was founded in 1993. The main direction of the ECOHOL activity is realization of Russian Program "Coldness" and providing of ecologically clean thermoelectric refrigerators. The ECOHOL developed and applied technology for manufactured semiconductor branches for thermoelectric modules, thermoelectric carriage air conditioners, thermoelectric refrigerators for railway-carriage compartment, thermoelectric
bars, thermoelectric coolers for drinks, etc.

3. Joint Stock Company ORBITA, Saransk. The ORBITA is a large enterprise producing different kinds of electronic devices, including complicated domestic equipment. Lust years the ORBITA developed production of thermoelectric cooling modules and thermoelectric refrigerators.

4. State Scientific-Industrial Company OSTERM, St.Petersburg. The OSTERM has of many years (more than 35) experience in research, develop and manufacturing of thermoelectric batteries and devices. The main directions of the OSTERM activities nowadays are develop and manufacture of one- and many-stages, standard and nonstandard thermoelectric cooling modules mainly for export. The manufacture possibilities is 100,000 modules annually.

5. ZT Services, Inc., USA. The ZT Services has been organized in 1995 to provide information, communication and consulting services to the thermoelectric community. The Company serves a variety of clients interested in various aspects of thermoelectric energy conversion, with an emphasis on novel techniques to improve efficiency.
