CSIC
The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) is the largest public institution dedicated to research in Spain and the third largest in Europe.
Belonging to the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness through the Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation, its main objective is to develop and promote research that will help bring about scientific and technological progress, and it is prepared to collaborate with Spanish and foreign entities in order to achieve this aim.
Public Transport going to CSIC
FROM THE AIRPORT
METRO (subway-underground) is the easiest way to arrive at CSIC from Barajas International Airport. All Terminales are connected by Line 8 (pink line), which endes at Nuevos Ministerios station, about 10 minutes walk from the CSIC.
Closest Metro station: República de Argentina, line 6. Aproximately 9 minutes walk from República de Argentina Metro station to CSIC.
There are also buses coming from the airport, which arrive at María de Molina station, about 15 minutes walk from the CSIC.
WITHIN MADRID
There are several bus lines that stop by CSIC.
BUS 16 Moncloa – Avenida de Pío XII.
BUS 19 Plaza de Cataluña – Plaza de Legazpi.
BUS 51 Puerta del Sol – Plaza del Perú.
BUS N1 Night Service Plaza de Cibeles – Colonia Virgen del Cortijo.
There are also buses coming from the airport, which arrive at María de Molina station, about 15 minutes walk from the CSIC.
