A2: Medium temperature materials
Chromium silicide (CrSi2) is a kind of promising middle temprature thermoelectric materials, owing the relatively large effective carrier mass and mobility. In this paper, the method of mechanical alloy combined with hot pressing sintering and heat treatment were used to rapid reaction and densification of VxCr1-xSi2 (x=0.005-0.02,y=0.005) thermoelectric materials. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope. The seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity were measured during 25—450℃. All the samples doped with different content of V have a better electrical properties than the pure CrSi2. Dopant Mn has great effect on the thermoelectric property of VxCr1-xSi2.
