C4: Generators
Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla
A solar thermoelectric generator (STG) is presented. It is designed and fabricated a large thermoelectric power module where hot water is used. Hot water is obtained by a passive solar panel. It is possible to obtain hot water at 110 °C by using a water recycling flow in a close system. Several thermoelectric power modules are connected in a serial mode to obtain a voltage bigger than 12 V to have the possibility to charge a battery. The STG was tested for a complete day of operation. Results show some advantages for passive solar generators.
