Q. What is ZT Services (ZTS)?
A. Just me, really.

COMPANY INFORMATION

ZT Services has been organized by Dr. Cronin B. Vining to provide information, communication and consulting services to the thermoelectric community. As such, ZTS has a vested interest in the continued vitality and growth of the thermoelectric community, while at the same time strictly respecting the confidentiality of its clients.

Q. What does 'ZT' stand for?
A. I get this a lot! You take your pick:

  1. It doesn't stand for anything. It just is.
  2. What do you mean what does it "stand for"?
  3. I just like the way it sounds.
  4. It's a box seat in Camden Yards.
  5. AA, AB, AC, AD etc. were all taken.
  6. Comes just before ZU.
  7. Like, you subtract one letter from "IBM" and you get "HAL". Well, add one letter to "YS" and you get "ZT".
  8. Like, you subtract one letter from "IBM" and you get "HAL". Well, subtract one letter from "AU" (Auburn Univ.) and you get "ZT".
  9. "Zoot" without the vowels.
  10. It is technical jargon, a mathematical representation of the combination of materials parameters from which the efficiency of a thermoelectric device can be calculated.

Q. What does ZTS do?
A. The short answer is: Information, consulting and analytic services for the thermoelectric and energy conversion communities. You pay for it, I'll do it. Within reason.

Q. Can I get a job at ZTS?
A. You might be surprised how often I get this question. In principle, yes. In practice, no. Still, I'm always open to good ideas.

Q. Can I hire ZTS?
A. Sure!
