A1: Low temperature materials
Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrenesulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) nanofilms were facilely prepared by spin-coating technology. The thermoelectric (TE) properties of the PEDOT:PSS nanofilms were improved by treated with oxalic acid at 140 oC. The electrical conductivity of PEDOT:PSS nanofilms can be enhanced from 0.02 to over 800 S cm-1, that is, by a factor of more than 4000. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was conducted to characterize the surface morphology, the surface roughness increased after the acid treatment, in consistant with the electrical conductivity enhancement. The results of Seebeck coefficient measurement exhibited a slight decrease compared with the incensement of electrical conductivity for PEDOT:PSS nanofilms. In this case, the maximum power factor of PEDOT:PSS nanofilms can be up to 6.97 mW m-1 K-2.
